Welcome to our Classroom BlogPortal! We are a New Zealand School.

Kiaora. We are a class called M2 within Rangiora Borough School in a town called Rangiora not far from the city of Christchurch in the South Island of New Zealand. We are a really cool class of Year 5 and 6's, thats 9 and 10 year olds. We work hard and have fun doing it. On our Blog we share our learning with others in our class, we also share our ideas and give each other feedback. The best thing about our blog is that it is global, and we communicate and share our learning and new ideas with other people in other countries. What we do on our blog helps us use and develop alot of skills. Our teacher is Mr McLay.

"Auskick Final"

Wow what a final. We finally played our final in week.10 it was between "The Devil Bikers" and "The Big Devils". The game was fast evenly matched and full of action. It was a really impressive game with lots of running and big defence. The score was 7-3 at half time and the final score was 26-6 at fulltime. In the end it came down to fitness and a bit of some individual brilliance. All in all very entertaining and enjoyable to be a part of. Congratulations to the 2 finalists and the other two teams for competing so well.

Whats it Worth! Market Day

Market Day has finally arrived and the weather has certainly turned out good to make it easy for us to sell our products. Our list of products included fizzy slushis, donuts, christmas cards, cupcakes, photo frames, lemonade, and christmas stockings. All our products sold pretty quickly and we all had success. There were many items throughout the school grounds and lots of people came from throughout the community. We had a big debrief after the market and reflected and evaluated what worked and what didn't, what problems we encountered on the way, we did a PMI, and also discussed what we would do differently next time. We discovered as business people that what we found out during the term certainly rang true on Market Day. The things that stood out were that a different idea works, also variety, visually being able to see the product and effective advertising. Here are some pictures of Market Day.

WOW! Camp-Waipara Boys Brigade

Like I said wow! Finally our camp had arrived and there had been lots of talk and excitment leading up to the big day and travelling to Waipara. There was lots of organisation leading up to camp, especially with getting all the food together, gear lists, day groups, tent groups, and transport for us all and the list goes on. We had 10 marvellous parents including our teachers. The other class we went with was M5. We had great activities like BMXing, Waterslide, Archery, River fires and cooking Marshmallows, Confidence Course, Raft Making and others. It was so much fun. On the first night we had a sausage sizzle for tea. What was really awesome was that we got to camp in tents with our friends beside Tui Lodge. The weather was hot. Our parent helpers were really awesome and helped us heaps, we will write thankyou letters to them when we get back to school. Mr McLay took lots of photos of us so here are a few to look at.
